Overview
Saudi Aramco has Established a new National Champions Admin Area that aims to deliver end-to-end product development, entrepreneurship, and investment opportunities to convert lucrative business ideas into national champions that enable job creation and economic growth.
Taleed (Also Known As Leap 10) is one of Aramco’s program, within the National Champion, is devoted to create, sustain, and grow Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the Kingdom, aiming to create thousands of jobs and maximize GDP contribution. The program is a catalyst for change in collaboration with the Kingdom’s major government and private stakeholders. Taleed is part of the National Champions entity with sister organizations extending support in terms of idea generation, product development, and access to VC funds.
We are seeking a candidate that will be part of the Origination and Execution tracks that is responsible for the end-to-end process, including sourcing new SMEs/ideas, conducting a comprehensive due diligence on business opportunities, developing proposals/business plans, supporting localization of new strategic SMEs, executing the investment opportunities and engaging with SMEs, partners and investors as well as negotiating with them. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in business development, as well as strong analytical and negotiation skills
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new SME investment opportunities including research of potential ideas, assess their impact and determine their fit with market requirements.
- Conduct market research and analysis including data gathering, existing market saturation & competition and industry trends. This information can be used to identify new SMEs investment opportunities and develop strategies to reach the targeted markets.
- Build relationships with SMEs and partners; this involves developing trust and link with potential SMEs/partners.
- Execute the approved SMEs investment opportunities and work with partners/investors to develop investment execution plans and supporting executing it.
- Lead all aspects of project planning, team design, and progress tracking while serving as a thought leader and advisor to SMEs and investors
- Engage with public and private stakeholders to enable investment execution
- Close opportunities and track results: This involves ensuring that opportunities are meeting the support plan.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or another related field. A Master's degree in Business Administration from an accredited college or university is highly preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 10 years of work experience in all of or part of the following; business development, investments support, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital, and consulting
- Strong experience in assessing the market landscape (structure, size and profitability, drivers of performance, trends, outlook)
- Experience in financial modeling, and the viability of the target's revenue and profit forecast
- Strong business acumen, with analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to understand how business model decisions impact performance
- Comfort with ambiguity and fluid client situations and ability to work in a fast-paced deal environment; travel varies with client assignments
- Team oriented work ethic and collaborative attitude.
- Strong presentation skills and excellent command of the English language
