Overview

We are seeking a Chemical Engineering specialized in Process to join CGPD.  The organization handles all the engineering related matters associated with the Gas Oil Separation Plants (GOSP).

The engineer is expected to monitor, evaluate and assess the oil and gas processing operations in the GOSP to improve organization day-to-day operations and come-up with initiatives and solutions to optimize energy use, reduce chemical consumption and enhance sustainability at CGPD. In addition, the engineer is expected to have full knowledge and experience in analyzing the process parameters which include pressure, level, flow, temperature, crude specifications, fluid mechanics and identify any possible causes for abnormalities.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

You are expected to be able to perform the following:

  • Provide day-to-day technical support to operations and maintenance to troubleshoot plant process upsets.
  • Develop, evaluate and review process equipment engineering design for reliability enhancements and required upgrades/additions.
  • Participate and lead investigation for a process related trips and produce the reports.
  • Develop the needed process simulation models to support the operational need for the organization.
  • Review the process historical data and conducting process enhancement studies.
  • Develop and review Process engineering design packages.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in upstream Oil & Gas operating facilities.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design of upstream Oil & Gas facilities.
  • Demonstrate an excessive experience in Hazardous and Operability Studies (HAZOP)
  • Preferred to be certified as HAZOP facilitator.
  • Ability to work on Process Simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Flare System Analyzer.
  • Ability to develop dynamic simulation model to support investigating and sizing of process equipment and compressor trains using Process Simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS.
  • Ability to assess the operation rotating equipment, relief valve sizing and benchmark existing mode of operation against pump/compressor performance curves.
  • Ability to propose and deploy process improvement technologies/solutions and innovative ideas.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in analyzing fluid mechanics and familiar with methods to quantify material release
  • Must have Fundamental Engineering (FE) and recommended to have a Professional Engineer (P.E.) certificate.
  • Knowledge of international standards and best practices such as API, ASME, ANSI, etc.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in international standard API-754 that administrate the definition of process safety KPIs
  • Ability to identify the controllable parameters in the efficiency of any of the process equipment.
