Position Description:

We are seeking an Enterprise Infrastructure Architect, to oversee the company’s enterprise compute and storage strategies. This includes planning, budgeting and precuring the right infrastructures for the right platforms and applications. You’ll be overlooking the technology and defining the roadmaps for each specific environment in the enterprise infrastructure. Enterprise infrastructure will include the server farm, on-prem cloud, storage systems, AI environment and backup and archive environments.

 

The position will also include financial duties like budgeting and calculating TCO/ROI for the planned procurement projects. Furthermore, supervising each procurement deployment with operation teams.

 

Finally, you will act as consultant to the organization by continuously researching and studying the latest trends and issues. You will drive enterprise organizational alignment to ensure successful enterprise infrastructure roadmaps, adoption, security, governance, and risk management is adhered to.

Duties and Responsibilities:

You will be required to perform the following:

 

Define the enterprise infrastructure strategy and roadmap

Work on requirements gathering, capacity planning and workloads forecasting

Analyze and optimize the production applications

Handle the infrastructure budgeting and financials

Handle the infrastructure architecting

Plan, execute and manage hardware and appliances procurements projects

Work with operation teams on the resource utilization and chargeback modules

Work with leading OEMs and technology providers

Define and drive PoC initiatives with end-users and technical teams

Work and collaborate with multiple teams

Consistently looking for the new technology trends in CPU, GPU, cloud solutions and storage services

Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science or similar

 

You will have a deep knowledge in cloud native applications and container orchestration solutions, OpenShift, DevOps, VMware, MLOps and CI/CD and storage system and NFS, SMB, iSCSI and S3 protocols

 

You will also have 15 years experience in infrastructure budgeting and TCO/ROI calculations, backup and archive solutions and data centers and facility requirements
