Overview
We are seeking a Computational Research Expert to join our its Research & Development Center (R&DC).
R&DC conducts strategic research, development and demonstration programs in support of Aramco’s drive for innovation. We are currently pursuing several technology development opportunities in strategic and downstream research.
Your primary role is to conduct research on emerging computing technologies and their application to solve grand challenges related CO2 emissions and renewable energy through development of innovative materials. This important role will enjoy access to one of the largest computing clusters world-wide, innovation hubs that accelerate technology development and foster multi-disciplinary collaboration with leading institutes, and state-of the art laboratories.
Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
- Develop and lead the execution of research projects and/or programs that focus on developing novel technologies in the areas of AI for material discovery and optimization and control.
- Identify collaboration opportunities with leading institutes and organizations to identify technology commercialization opportunities.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure in-house technology options deployment.
- Conduct outlook studies of emerging technologies in the field of accelerated material discovery.
Minimum Requirements
- You must hold a Bachelor Degree in Computational Science or Engineering. A PhD is preferred.
- You should have at least 5 years of research experience (inclusive of postdoc work).
- You should have a proven track record of conducting advanced technical projects with an ability to connect basic science research with industrial applications.
