Overview

We are seeking a Debt Management Specialist to join our Debt Management Division under Group Treasury Management Dept.

Debt Management Division oversees the strategic management of the company’s debt portfolio, comprising billions in debt securities and credit facilities extended by leading banks and global asset managers—both conventional and Shariah-compliant.

Your primary role is to develop and execute strategies to optimize corporate debt portfolio including debt prepayments, extension, and restructuring, as well as to optimize affiliates’ debt through intra-group lending.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

  • Oversee the execution, transfer and termination of affiliates debt facilities, and evaluate arm’s-length pricing for intercompany lending.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support the development and implementation of new treasury initiatives, debt products and instruments and address debt related inquiries effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to local and international regulatory requirements and standards, and report compliance on corporate covenants.
  • Identify and mitigate debt operational risks, such as default, compliance breaches and data leakage.
  • Build and maintain strong relationship with agent banks to optimize processes, resolve issues promptly and negotiate favorable terms and agreements.
  • Review and negotiate financial documents, common terms agreements (CTA) and contracts, including agency master agreements, SLA’s, credit agreements and other key documents, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Lead the negotiation and execution of commercial agreements with local and international financial institutions, ensuring compliance with Saudi Aramco standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on group debt, and performance and key metrics such as gearing, debt capacity analysis, and debt maturity to support data-driven strategic decision-making.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve debt management operations, leveraging best practices and emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate, you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration. Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, FRM are a plus.

You will have 10+ years of experience in corporate debt management and debt capital markets, preferably within an integrated oil company.

You will have a proficiency in treasury software and systems, with expertise in SAP, Bloomberg and Refinitiv, and data analytics and reporting.

You will have a proficiency in credit facilities origination and structuring, intragroup lending, and loans documentation.

You will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of Shariah-compliant business banking.

You will be to coach and develop staff in analytical skills and project delivery.
