Overview

We are seeking a Digital and AI Solutions Specialist to join our Downstream Digital Solutions Department (DDSD).

 

DDSD, within our Digital Solutions office, are dedicated to realizing business added value by

leveraging the latest technological advancements in Digital Solutions and analytics.

 

Your primary role is to lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics and Generative AI (GenAI) solutions that drive operational efficiency, commercial excellence, and customer-centric innovation across refining, logistics, retail, and supply chain functions. This is a strategic role at the intersection of data science, artificial intelligence, and downstream business operations.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

 

  • Lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics and Generative AI (GenAI) solutions that drive operational efficiency, commercial excellence, and customer-centric innovation across refining, logistics, retail, and supply chain functions.
  • Define and execute data-driven transformation agenda by identifying high-impact use cases where machine learning and GenAI can unlock value from optimizing refinery operations and product blending, enhancing retail customer experiences and automating commercial reporting.
  • Perform technical tasks as part of a team of data scientists and AI engineers to build and deploy scalable models, including large language models (LLMs) for tasks such as real-time market insights, intelligent documentation, process automation, and conversational analytics.
  • Champion the responsible use of AI, ensuring models are governed, explainable, and aligned with regulatory and safety standards relevant to downstream operations.
  • Build strong partnerships with data engineering, IT, and digital transformation teams to ensure seamless integration of models into enterprise systems and workflows.

Minimum Requirements

You must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science or relevant fields from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.

 

You will have minimum of 6 years’ experience in building advanced analytics, digital and AI solutions on relevant industries. Academic and research experience are also considered. 

 

You must be able to demonstrate experience with the following skills: NLP, computer vision, time-series, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data preprocessing, data cleaning, data analysis, data modeling, jupyter, cloud computing, ideation, use case identification, use case design and ai assessment.
