Overview
We are seeking a Downstream Transformation Analyst to join our DS Transformation & Business Excellence Department.
The Downstream Transformation and Business Excellence program drives sustainable transformation by combining strategic insights, strong governance, and capability building across the portfolio. It ensures alignment with organizational priorities through performance tracking, initiative reviews, and the delivery of fact-based insights that drive impactful outcomes.
Your primary role is to focus on supporting enterprise-wide transformation initiatives by ensuring strong governance, accurate financial validation, and actionable insights through data and analytics. Moreover, you will combine analytical rigor, business acumen, and governance discipline to drive performance tracking, ensure data integrity, and enable leadership decision making.
Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
- Monitor, track, and report progress of initiatives against targets.
- Support governance reviews, steering committees, and executive reporting.
- Identify risks, issues, and dependencies across initiatives and recommend mitigation actions.
- Collect, consolidate, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Build dashboards and reporting tools to visualize program performance.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify performance gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Validate business case assumption and financial impact.
- Partner with Finance and initiative owners’ organization to ensure alignment between initiatives tracking and financial reporting.
- Support adherence to transformation governance frameworks, policies, and approval process.
- Ensure initiative owners are timely providing accurate reporting’s.
- Maintain documentation and share folder organization for auditability and transparency.
Minimum Requirements
- You will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, industrial engineering, systems engineering or related engineering discipline from a recognized and approved program. [An advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Finance, Business Analytics, Strategy or Data Analytics) is strongly preferred].
- You will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Energy sector business (Oil, Gas, Petrochemicals), including at least 5 years in Corporate or operational strategy, Business development, Enterprise or functional transformation programs and Performance management or value realization offices (PMO)
- You will have and experience in supporting large-scale transformation initiatives.
- You will have a strong background in data analytics and performance management.
- You will have a solid financial acumen including validation of business cases and value realization.
- You will have a hands-on experience in governance framework and compliance requirements.
- You will be able to demonstrate a strong stakeholder management skill to work effectively with cross functional teams and senior leadership
- You will have advanced proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools is highly desirable.
- You will also have excellent communication and presentation skills.
