Overview

Saudi Aramco Global Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to work under Assets Technical Solutions Department (ATSD)  to handle electrical engineering aspects. 
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 15 years work experience preferably in oil and gas refining/petrochemical industries(20+ years is preferred) The candidate should be familiar with the topics of electrical safety and arc flash hazards mitigations, hazardous area classification, power generation, distribution and protection, motors and motors controls, AC/DC Systems, electrical studies and industry standards (NEC, IEC, NFPA, IEEE, NEMA, API, etc.). 
The electrical engineer main responsibility is to develop plans and processes to ensure facilities’ electrical equipment and systems throughout its lifecycle to reduce safety, environmental and economic risk, while maintaining compliance with all applicable codes and standards.  The engineer will be responsible for providing technical support on major and critical electrical issues. The applicant should be a strong team player who will interface and work with multiciliary teams. 


 

Key Responsibilities

1.    Develop and maintain lifecycle management program and database for critical electrical equipment.
2.    Manage and maintain the corporate arc flash hazard mitigation program and conduct audits.
3.    Provide technical expertise and participate in failure investigations to capture the outcome and share with other facilities to avoid recurring electrical equipment failures.
4.    Develop and Manage centralized service contract for critical assets UPS, ATS, Battery Charger, Excitation, MV cables testing.
5.    Manage the Cogeneration assets performance and lead the technical programs, studies and assessments.

Minimum Requirements

1.    Bachelor’s degree of Electrical Engineering.
2.    Minimum 15 years of experience (20+ preferable) in refining/petrochemical industries
3.    Experience performing electrical power system studies utilizing ETAP modeling (preferred)
4.    Familiarity with electrical maintenance and troubleshooting practices for industrial electrical systems.
5.    Experience with specification, application and maintenance up to 15kV class electrical equipment.
6.    Knowledge of power generation (cogeneration), power distribution and power automation (preferred).
7.    Fluent in English, oral and written.
