Overview
We are seeking an experienced chemical process engineer to work under Hawiyah Gas Storage Development (HGSD). As a Sr. Engineer, you will be able to perform and direct complex engineering tasks including leading process upsets investigation teams, HAZOP teams, and providing guidance, work direction and training to junior engineers in work techniques, methods and process equipment. You will also provide technical support relating to plant processes, equipment performance and reliability, energy efficiency, safety, cost savings, innovation and new technology applications. Additionally, you will provide technical review and support to plant modifications.
HGSD process hydrocarbons at the highest standards of safety, reliability, efficiency and in an environmentally responsible way through empowered competent teams and using state of the art technologies.
Key Responsibilities
You will be expected to be able to perform the following:
Process troubleshooting and optimization
Provide technical guidance and field support for all process related issues in the plant
Lead investigations and HAZOP’s
Carry out detailed design reviews of plant modifications
Carry out equipment/process assessment studies as well as feasibility studies to improve plant safety, reliability or efficiency
Train, mentor and develop young engineers
Identify, assess and implement new technologies to enhance process safety, reliability and efficiency
Minimum Requirements
As a successful candidate you should hold at least a BS degree in chemical engineering from a recognized and approved institution
Between 10 to 15 years of experience, preferably in the Gas industry and at operating facilities
Able to perform process simulations and carry out equipment sizing and performance calculations (e.g. Relief valve, control valves, heat exchanger performance)
Experience in process safety management systems & tools including risk assessments, HAZOPs and MOC’s
Thorough knowledge of industry standards (e.g. API) as well as best practices (RAGAGEP)
Track record of mentoring and developing junior engineers.Experience in Triethylene Glycol (TEG) and compression operations
