Overview
We are seeking a Field Compliance Coordinator to join our OE & Compliance Group (OE&CG) within Aramco’s Technology Oversight & Coordination (TOC).
OE&CG are responsible for defining the Safety Management System (SMS), which is required to promote a safety culture and equip employees with the tools and training to effectively and efficiently manage safety.
Your primary role is to develop TOC’s safety strategy, monitor performance, and provide support to internal stakeholders in order to promote a safety culture and ensure compliance with the SMS.
Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
- Provide advice and consultation to TOC staff in order to assist them in maintaining a safe working environment and remain in compliance with environmental/safety regulations, standards and practices.
- Undertake surveys to identify and evaluate occupational health, safety and environmental conditions.
- Conduct and coordinate on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices.
- Provide advice and counsel concerning compliance with corporate safety regulation and procedures.
- Perform area safety inspections of facilities and operations.
- Perform job site safety compliance inspections, including: hazard analyses and safe work procedures, and prepare written reports and recommendations.
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the hazard control system, policies and procedures, and recommend changes that reflect improved opportunities to eliminate work place incidents and injuries.
- Direct or assist in the development of specialized safety education and training materials.
- Review and analyze injury, property damage, and statistical loss data whilst working alongside management to prepare comprehensive recommendations for corrective action to eliminate or minimize potential hazards.
- Communicate the plans for and participate in Safety Management Committee (SMC) meetings.
- Maintain and evaluate the continuous implementation and compliance of our Safety Management System (SMS) in line with corporate SMS.
Minimum Requirements
- You must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Occupational Safety, or Process Safety.
- You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in related safety and operational experience and/or training preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- You must have demonstrable knowledge in Safety Engineering, Process Safety Engineering, Occupational health, as well as safety and environmental compliance experience.
