Overview

We are seeking a Risk Analyst to join the Risk Oversight & Compliance Division of the Financial Risk Management Division at Saudi Aramco.

The Risk Oversight & Compliance Division is responsible for providing an independent and forward-looking assessment of financial risks across the Group, including liquidity, financing, credit, market, pension-related, operational, and other relevant risk areas. The division also provides a comprehensive, aggregated view of the Group’s financial risk profile by quantifying risks and clearly articulating the Group’s financial risk appetite.

The division is tasked with identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting on key financial risks, including adherence to risk limits, thresholds, and internal controls, to senior management and the Board Audit Committee. This includes ensuring compliance with internal risk management policies and frameworks, as well as supporting informed decision-making through transparent and timely risk reporting.

Your primary role will be to provide expert risk analysis and consultancy to support data-driven, risk-informed decision-making, deliver strategic management advice, and contribute to the effective execution of the division’s mandate.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

You will be required to:

  • Work as part of the Group Treasury function to analyze, oversee, advise on, and report Group-level financial risk activities.
  • Provide expertise in financial risk-reward analysis, supporting risk-based decisions and proposals for management review.
  • Enhance transparency on Treasury-related risks by developing and improving Group-level dashboards and reports for regular updates to senior management.
  • Establish and maintain risk profiles and thresholds for various Group entities and risk exposures, while actively monitoring key risk indicators (KRIs).
  • Develop and document procedures related to risk monitoring and reporting responsibilities, as needed.

 

Minimum Requirements

As the successful candidate, you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Analytics, or Accounting from a recognized and accredited institution. An advanced degree or professional certification such as a Master’s, CFA, or FRM is preferred.

  • You will have a minimum of seven years of experience in Corporate Treasury risk functions, specifically in Credit and Market risk.
  • Experience in developing risk metrics, including Value at Risk (VaR), stress testing, and scenario analysis, as well as familiarity with risk appetite frameworks, is required.
  • A strong understanding of data analytics and experience with risk systems and tools, such as MATLAB, Tableau, MSCI RiskMetrics, or Power BI, is essential.
  • You must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a collaborative attitude, and the ability to work effectively across a diverse portfolio of companies as part of a global risk team.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, accountability, and initiative are essential traits for success in this role.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required.
