Overview
Saudi Aramco is seeking an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Specialist with a robust background in the oil and gas industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing AI solutions to optimize exploration and production, in the gas sector. In addition, the candidate needs to possess a deep understanding of data-driven technologies and have a proven track record in implementing automation and digitalization initiatives that drive efficiency, innovation, and value creation. The candidate will be part of the reservoir analytical team of the of the Gas Strategy & Technical Support Department under the Gas Development Admin Department arm of the Petroleum Engineering & Development Admin Area under Upstream Business Line
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy machine learning models to analyze geological data, predict equipment failure, and enhance oil recovery methods.
- Conduct data mining and big data analysis to identify trends and insights that can lead to cost reductions and improved safety measures
- Lead the development and execution of data automation strategies to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making processes.
- Design and implement robust data management systems that ensure data integrity, quality, and accessibility across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and digital transformation.
- Develop and oversee the integration of advanced analytics, machine learning models, and AI to optimize production, maintenance, and exploration activities.
- Drive the adoption of digital technologies to enable real-time monitoring and predictive analytics.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to data security and privacy.
- Provide expert guidance and support to technical teams in the deployment of digital solutions.
- Stay up-to-date for emerging trends and technologies in data automation and digitalization within the oil/gas sector.
- Conduct data mining and big data analysis to identify trends and insights that can lead to cost reductions and improved safety measures.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders, translating complex AI concepts into actionable business strategies.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data automation and digitalization within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing principles.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Experience with data visualization tools and platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, spotfire).
- Familiarity with cloud computing services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead complex digital transformation projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills & ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Participate in technical societies and technical groups & train and mentor young engineers.
