Overview
We are seeking a Gas Turbine Engineer to join the Sea Water Engineering Division (SWED).
The Sea Water Engineering Division is responsible for providing engineering technical support to ensure treatment, transportation & injection of sea water in safe, efficient and environmentally responsible manner with the most optimum operating cost.
As a Gas Turbine Engineer your primary role is to provide the required engineering technical support to operate and maintain mechanical drive gas turbines safely and reliably by addressing original equipment manufacturer (OEM) maintenance and operation procedure and deploying best in class maintenance practices.
Key Responsibilities
As a successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
- Provide technical support for turbine maintenance activities.
- Ability to troubleshoot turbine malfunctions, incidents and trips and prepare RCA reports.
- Provide consultation in all aspects of maintenance procedures and engineering standards.
- Provide maintenance planning and work scope for the forecasted maintenance activities.
- Introduce the latest technologies to enhance turbine performance, reliability, emissions and safety protections.
- Prepare design engineering packages for the associated turbine assets.
- Provide coaching and knowledge sharing to Junior Engineers.
- Participate in vendor and customer exchange meetings.
- Deploying the appropriate technologies and exploring the optimum upgrade scope.
Minimum Requirements
As a successful candidate you will hold a:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in mechanical field of gas turbine including at least 3 years in industrial operation business.
- Background in the investigation of turbine malfunction and incidents, turbine outages planning and execution, and field projects/activities management.
- Knowledge in different turbine component repair processes and key quality control steps.
- Ability to identify spare parts required for turbines, and their auxiliary’s maintenance.
- Experience in the mechanical design, troubleshooting and major repair of oil and gas rotating equipment.
- Demonstrate technical researches in international conferences and seminars.
- Experience in manufacturing with OEM (original equipment manufacturing) facility such as, GE, Siemens, MHI, BH is a plus.
