Overview

We are seeking a Global Automotive Industry Specialist, to join the Global Analysis Department within Strategy & Market Analysis (S&MA).

 

The core function of the S&MA organization is to advise Aramco management and guide other departments within the company on energy markets and outlooks, economic evaluations, oil pricing, macroeconomic outlook, and international energy policies and regulations, besides assisting in business planning and strategy formulation.

 

You will be required to understand the interplay of the variables that affect the global automotive industry, and ultimately, conduct the modeling exercise for expected sales of different vehicles power trains. Also, have a good understanding about other modalities of transport including aviation will be required.

Key Responsibilities

As a successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

  • Analyze policy changes in transportation, identifying trends in policy including environmental standards affecting different modes of transportation.
  • Develop pragmatic car sales forecasts by country informed by current fleet, fuel consumption regulations, along with other variables.
  • Develop dashboards and report on mobility modes, that provide insights on changes for different modalities in different regions.  
  • Manage multiple projects, prioritizing tasks and projects to meet deadlines and organizational goals.
  • Represent Saudi Aramco at industry conferences and seminars. Travel is required one or two times a year.

Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate you will have:

  • Bachelor degree in business, management or an engineering related field. A master’s degree in planning, engineering (transportation, vehicle, electrical), economics is preferred
  • Minimum 12 years professional experience of which at least 7 years experience in private sector, academia or government research with a focus on transportation, energy, environment, and policy.
  • Fluency in English (oral and written) is must.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills along with superior quantitative skills to analyze large datasets, drafting papers and publications. 
  • Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision and on relatively unstructured tasks.  Must be able to work on time-sensitive environment and reacts quickly with requests.
