Overview
We are seeking an IT Application/System Specialist to join our Computer Operations Department (COD) within Digital and Information Technology.
COD are responsible for providing computing services across our organization. This includes, but is not limited to, physical and cloud servers, operating system support and administration, database support and administration, storage system support and administration, enterprise resource planning system support, cloud and virtualization support.
Your primary role is to manage/administer Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), which entails creating SCCM packages for routine operating system patching and software deployment.
Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
- Administer Microsoft Windows Server Operating System.
- Troubleshoot Windows Operating System issues and resolve tickets.
- Manage SCCM server infrastructure.
- Generate performance reports and health checks.
- Generate routine packages for patching and software deployment.
Minimum Requirements
- You will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
- You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Microsoft Server Operating System including at least 3 years in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager with Microsoft certification.
- You should be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge in managing/administering Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) as well as in System Center Operation Manager (SCOM) and SQL database.
- You must be able to do patch management via SSCM.

- Create dynamic collection using queries.
- Manage certificate infrastructure for SCCM.
- Deploy PowerShell scripts via SCCM.
- Generate reports via SCCM.
- Resolve server vulnerabilities
- Create compliance items via SCCM
- Manage Operating System deployment via SCCM, and create task sequences for Operating System.
- You should also have general experience in BMC Remedy and ServiceNow.
- General experience in Scripting and PowerShell experience is also preferred.
