Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our UR Design Services & Engineering Support Division (URDSESD) under Unconventional Resources department.

 URDSESD is responsible for engineering procurement and construction of major Unconventional Gas facilities across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Your primary role is overseeing the engineering design and construction activities of Unconventional Resources projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of high-quality mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

As a successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

  • Reviewing and verifying mechanical design packages, including FEED (Front End Engineering Design) and detailed design, to ensure compliance with company procedures, specifications, and guidelines.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and internal teams, to resolve issues and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Providing technical support for construction activities, including mechanical completion and commissioning.
  • Relevant experience in Oil and Gas Project Management Engineering.
  •  Experience in EPC phases (engineering, material procurement, Construction management of hydrocarbon facilities) emphasis on construction.
  • Developing and reviewing technical documents, including design packages, vendor documents, and construction plans.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
  • Mentoring and motivating young engineers to develop their technical and soft skills.
  • Ensuring timely review and approval of all vendor documents, drawings, and engineering deliverables.

Minimum Requirements:

As a successful candidate you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer on construction projects, including concept, FEED, detailed design, and construction.
  • Relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on mechanical systems and project management.
  • Advanced technical skills in mechanical engineering.
  • Professional certification by NCEES, PMI, or a professional engineering board is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Saudi Aramco Engineering Requirements (MSAERs) and International Codes and Standards.
  • Experience with project management tools and software, such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
