Overview
We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our Mechanical Maintenance Group under the Research and Analytical Services Department.
The Mechanical Maintenance Group is responsible for managing and overseeing maintenance and operation of eight laboratory facilities, along with their associated utilities, in Dhahran.
Your primary role is to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex maintenance problems in our Research facility. You will oversee the lifecycle management of our existing assets, whilst developing maintenance plans, test and inspection plans and equipment standardization to ensure optimal performance, safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
- Prepare and implement operating instructions, mechanical specifications, and quality assurance processes to support research facility operations and maintenance activities.
- Participate in project planning, cost development, and scheduling, and directs activities to ensure that maintenance, repairs, and upgrades conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and research facility requirements.
- Participate in the Management of Change as reviewer, engineering design development, implementation, and field verification.
- Direct and execute experimental equipment preventive maintenance program using SAP PM.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the preventive maintenance program.
- Oversee the management of the Research and Innovation Complex mechanical asset spare part inventory.
- Perform critical spare parts management.
- Implement and comply with safety engineering corporate and international standards.
- Lead and manage risk assessments within the group.
- Develop continuous improvement solutions and formulate the design basis by collecting and analyzing data information relative to operating requirements.
- Look for ways to improve and promote quality in the utilities system operation activity.
Minimum Requirements
- As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- You will have a minimum of 10 years mechanical maintenance experience.
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of utility systems such as, but not limited to, vacuum systems, air compressors, storage tanks, water pumps and fire protection system.
- Reliability knowledge and capabilities in areas such as RBI.
- High capability in using SAP-PM.
- Excellent knowledge in utility systems and P&ID designs.
- Experience in problem solving and troubleshooting.
- Excellent planning and execution drive to deliver results and meet quality, cost and schedule targets.
- Ability to work in an unstructured environment to help develop new systems and infrastructure.
