Overview

We are seeking a Marine Multi Craft Maintenance Engineer to join our Eastern Region Terminal Maintenance Department.

The Eastern Region Terminal Maintenance Department is responsible for maintaining the reliability and integrity of the SPMs (Single Point Mooring) through the daily, weekly, monthly checks and will be engaged in marine hose and hawsers replacements.

Your primary role is to analyze the data with the divers/diver’s report and make recommendations for type of actions/repairs.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

  • Daily SPM checks, weekly inspection, preventive and reactive maintenance of Saudi Aramco offshore CALM and SALM Single Point Mooring (SPMs).
  •  Working with the team on the maintenance boat to ensure safe and efficient completion of both scheduled and emergency offshore work.
  • Replace and change-out of all kind of marine hoses including subsea, full float, half float, etc.
  • Perform single point mooring (SPM) CALM bearing assessment and provide reports.
  • Maintain and replace subsea valves and perform direct grease injection operations.
  • Replace and change mooring hawsers.
  • Coordinate oil spills clean ups.
  • Ensure and implement the highest safety and environmental standards governed by Saudi Aramco Safety and Environmental Procedures and Polices.
  • Work under SPM area foreman supervision to coordinate all the work activities and assignments.
  • Communicate constantly with all stakeholders to coordinate workboat operations and safely complete the assigned activities.
  • Communicate with lead diver to coordinate all diving inspection and repair work.
  • Maintain adequate tools and materials on the workboat to carry out normal maintenance.
  • Report the work progress on daily basis or whenever there is a need to SPM area foreman.
  • Coordinate work activities of SPM removal, installations, and T&I/Repair maintenance with barges and support boats.
  • Participate with the team on Risk Assessments and Job Safety Analysis preparation and development.
  • Train and mentor young workforce on boat.

Minimum requirements

  • You must hold a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or High Diploma in Mechanical/Diving.
  • Fifteen (15) years of experience in marine maintenance (offshore SPMs and marine hoses), oil operation, crane/rigging and diving operations.
  • Able to live and work on a marine vessel located permanently offshore side.
  • Must be able to swim.
