Overview

 

We are seeking an Oil & Gas Financial Analyst to join the Investment & Portfolio Analysis Division in the Downstream Strategy and Capital Planning Department (DS&CP).

DS&CP is responsible for the coordination and development support of all of Saudi Aramco’s Downstream Investment Plan and Strategy. It also provides quantitative input to Saudi Aramco’s Downstream Executive Committees, working in close co-operation with other Strategy & Capital Planning Divisions across the organization.

As the Downstream Financial Analyst, your primary role is to provide quantitative financial analysis and confirmation of Saudi Aramco’s Downstream Investment Plan strategic fit.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

  • Developing complete Financial Statements Models.
  • Analyze, evaluate and compare all the operational and financial inputs of the oil & gas entities, assets and projects through the cycle
  • Calculate and evaluate all economic parameters related with the profitability of Oil & Gas projects.
  • Valuation of Companies and Assets and applying different valuation methodologies and evaluating risks associated with the valuation via scenarios including stochastic analysis in addition to detailed competitive analysis.
  • Applying Capital Budgeting and corporate finance concepts and tools for the investment plan analysis including Capital asset pricing model, returns per unit of risk, derivatives, fixed income, currency, hedging, corporate rating methodologies and others.
  • Applies economic transaction fundamentals: “arms-length” agreements, conflict of interests, public vs non-public information, material vs non-material information, corporate governance, market regulations and others.

Minimum Requirements

As the successful candidate you will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in in Economics and/or Engineering from a recognized and approved program. CFA, MBA or a relevant advanced financial degree is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of (15) years of experience ideally in Oil & Gas Financial Markets.
  • Demonstrable experience of tracking record of modeling and valuations for the Downstream sector. Mainly focus in refining and petrochemicals but also other downstream segments (trading, retail, low carbon energies). Investment banking Sell side industry Is referred.
  • Experience with asset financial modelling and financial research tools (e.g Bloomberg, Factset, Reuters, CapitalIQ…)  as well as data management and use from main downstream / industry consulting entities (HIS, S&P, WoodMackenzie, Rystad).
