Overview
We are seeking a Field Metals Mechanic to join our Ras Tanura Refinery Maintenance department.
Ras Tanura Refinery Maintenance department is responsible for providing the required line maintenance of all refining and NGL rotating equipment in term of preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair.
Your primary role will be to provide work direction and supervision to a crew of field metals mechanics in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plant piping systems, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, boilers, and related equipment in our industrial facilities. You will also supervise work crews on plant T&Is.
Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
Install, maintain and repair piping systems in an industrial facility, including pipework, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, boilers and ancillary equipment.
Determine the nature of repairs to be made and replacement parts required.
Perform cut, thread, bend, join, remove, install and assemble carbon steel, stainless steel and non-metallic pipe fittings.
Remove, repair and install tubes in heat exchangers and condensers.
Clean, and repair boiler tubes and burners as well as install, expand and plug boiler tubes.
Perform minor rigging operations and assist rigging crew on large lifting operation.
Perform piping hydro-test.
Minimum Requirements
You must hold an associate degree in mechanical and fabrication engineering from a recognized and approved program an advanced degree is preferred.
You must have a minimum of eight years’ experience with providing work direction, technical guidance, and supervision for work crews in the fabrication, welding, and repair of plant pressure vessels, piping, and auxiliary equipment.
You must have a full understanding and adherence of all work permit type requirements.
You must have a full understanding of all field mechanic and fabrication principles.
You should be able to demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of piping and construction installation.
