Overview
We are seeking a Power Systems Reliability & Asset Integrity Engineer to join the Reliability & Asset Management Division (R&AMD) of Power Systems Technical Support Department (PSTSD).
PSTSD provide HV Electrical Equipment Specialized technical support to Power Operations. R&AMD is responsible for administrating Power Systems engineering studies, equipment life cycle management, reliability assessments, equipment failure analysis, digital transformation, maintenance strategy reviews & enhancement to ensure safe, reliable and efficient power supply to all company’s hydrocarbon production & other support facilitates.
The Power Systems Reliability & Asset Integrity Engineer primary role is to provide support, consultation, guidance and assistance to Power Systems operating areas and projects including engineering analysis and assuring adherence to Reliability & Asset Integrity Management standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
You will be required to perform the following:
Develop, manage, update and monitor implementation of short and long-term asset management policy, strategy, initiatives and work plans for power system asset and ensure alignment with overall company Strategic Asset Management Program.
Manage PS owned Substations by deploying Asset Integrity Management System (AIMS) Program.
Manage Power Systems HV Electrical Equipment Life Cycle Managements Process.
Develop and manage Contingency Plans to sustain Power Supply in case of Substation/facility interruptions.
Evaluate risk-based maintenance methodology based on likelihood and consequences.
Coordinate asset management plans and initiatives with operational entities.
Provide technical guidance and tools in the area of risk and reliability assessment and management to work groups involved with distribution infrastructure replacement, substation infrastructure replacement, and transmission infrastructure replacement.
Assist in development of reliability models based on specialized modelling software.
Perform Asset failure trending and analysis. Identify repetitive failures and perform RCA to avoid reoccurrence of failures.
Perform data analysis using techniques (APM, RCA, Six Sigma (6σ) etc..). Calculate and update the asset KPI’s. Issue reliability program monthly reports (MTBF, MTTR, bad actors, etc) updating the equipment health progress, and reporting failures and successes.
Oversees PS assets performance and report PS technical KPIs for T&D assets.
Utilize SAP Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) to document and track unreliability events and reliability improvements opportunities.
Provide technical information for field unreliability events backed up with equipment history & process data intended for area maintenance. Review the PM Defect Reports and evaluate corrective actions. Communicate with venders, suppliers and manufacturers for equipment reliability support.
Participate in developing, revising and tracking Asset Management strategies.
Supervise the documentation and development of asset inventory for each class of assets, asset condition, level of service and performance, risk signature, maintenance strategies, repair/replacement models, financial forecasts, and tactical and work plans.
Support Business case development to initiate asset replacement programs.
Minimum Requirements
The successful candidate should hold a minimum of Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering working on High Voltage Power Systems Electrical Equipment. Ten (10) years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical Industry or Power utility in the field of Power Systems Reliability & Asset Integrity Management.
Familiar with reliability programs such as (RCM, MTBF, Bad actors, etc.) including SAP system or equivalent computerized systems.
Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE), TapRooT Analyst or 6 Sigma Certification is preferred.
