Overview
We are seeking a Static Mechanical Engineer to join Jafurah Gas Plant Engineering Division (JGPED) within Jafurah Gas Plant Department (JGPD).
Jafurah Gas Plant Department is responsible for Processing Feed gas and producing Sales Gas, Condensate, and C2+NGL.
Your primary role is to Handle static and piping activities such as studies and design modification in the operating facilities.
Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following: .
- Look for opportunities to optimize operations and implement them accordingly.
- Provide technical direction/support to in-kingdom and out kingdom design contractors.
- Formulate and implement long-term strategies to improve operations and reduce costs.
- Lead groups of engineers in normal operations of existing plants.
- Participate in standards reviews to assure inclusion of requirements that are of practical benefit to field operation and maintenance in regard to safety and efficiency of the plant.
- Provide guidance on standards development through technical committee participation. Interprets standards and recommenced changes to reduce costs associated with overly stringent requirements.
- Perform management of change (MOC)
- Verify system operations and performance after implementing the recommendation.
- Provide day to day technical support to operation and maintenance teams, to troubleshoot and fix piping and static equipment.
- Handle static and piping activities such as studies and design modification in the operating facilities.
- Review project proposals and detailed design packages for new and/or existing facilities.
- Develop static and piping engineering design packages for any modifications at site ensuring full compliance with the Company applicable standards.
- Perform and review stress analysis for piping
- Ensure compliance for piping and flange material selection.
Minimum requirements
As the successful candidate you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized and approved program with Static equipment specialty.
- You will have 10-15 years of experience in Static Mechanical Engineering.
- Confident with engineering and design principles related to static and piping engineering.
- Able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of industry standards and procedures, such as American Petroleum Institute (API) and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) codes, required to support the review of company standards, projects reviews and implementation of plant modifications to process systems.
- Direct, coordinate, advise, and technically support to sustain asset integrity and reliability of wide range of piping and static equipment.
