Overview
We are seeking a Senior Technology & Innovation Strategy and Market Analyst to join our Transformation Office (TO) within the Technology & Innovation (T&I) Business Support Department (BSD).
The TO's mission is to integrate T&I strategies, monitor and optimize portfolios, facilitate collaboration, and maximize synergies across Affiliates and Aramco Group entities.
Your primary role will be to provide strategic long-term analysis and critical insights on major economic, policy, and technology trends impacting the global energy industry. Your primary focus will be on leveraging technology for strategic value creation of T&I Affiliate companies, driving performance targets, and capturing synergies with Aramco Group entities. Your role will be critical in driving transformation and innovation within T&I Business Support, and you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization's strategic direction and success.
Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
- Provide strategic direction and insights for our T&I business strategy, translating corporate and business line priorities into a unified T&I strategic narrative and direction.
- Assess and develop new insights to inform T&I business strategy and decision-making.
- Perform a key role in engaging with Aramco Affiliates and other stakeholders to identify synergies, avoid overlaps, and validate submissions during business planning processes.
- Monitor global technology and innovation trends, tracking and analyzing competitors' strategies and conducting structured benchmarking of peer organizations.
- Produce regular business intelligence updates and deep-dive reports to inform T&I business strategy and decision-making.
- Develop and maintain a transformation roadmap, ensuring clear interdependencies and synergies across initiatives are captured.
- Establish and maintain a transformation program-level risk register to inform decision-making.
- Facilitate interventions, report outcomes, and shape the overall transformation change and communications plan, including key messages, stakeholder identification, and impact priorities.
- Define the transformation baseline and benefit calculation methodology, validating value realized from transformation initiatives.
- Establish and maintain a transformation program management guidebook to ensure consistency and best practices.
Minimum Requirements
- As the successful candidate, you will hold a Master's degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline, Business Administration, Economics, Public Policy, or Energy and Environmental Policy.
- You will have a minimum of 10 years of strategy management experience in energy, commodities, or digital industries, with an understanding of technology trends and the implications of geopolitics on global energy markets and the business.
- You will have experience gained from reputable economics, energy, or management consulting firms, research organizations, data providers, or corporate planning functions in the energy and petrochemicals industries.
- You must have strong quantitative, techno-economic modeling skills to assess the impact of global and regional economic, policy, and technology developments on energy markets.
- You will be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of major global trends impacting the energy industry and how low-carbon energy technologies could play a role in a sustainable energy future.
- You will have demonstrated evidence of successfully translating strategic and business objectives into actionable technology and innovation imperatives, and interacting effectively with different internal and external audiences, including industry thought leaders, economists, academicians, public relations professionals, Senior Executives, and external collaborators in government, industrial partners, and academia.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools is preferred.
- You will also have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex technical information into clear and concise messages.
- You will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
