Overview

As a recognized company expert in the chemical industry, Aramco’s IK Liquids to Chemicals Development (IK LTC) organization is developing the production, shipping, and marketing of low-carbon hydrogen and ammonia as an alternative route-to-market for our oil and gas resources.  The Project Development Support & Coordination Division is seeking a Business Development Specialist.  The division is responsible for overseeing and supporting all relevant engineering work to meet the Liquid to Chemicals (LTC) program objectives and ensure meeting project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.  In addition, it will oversee the implementation of project governance and its alignment with all stakeholders.

 

The Business Development Specialist will ensure implementation of work in accordance with the project scope, set plans, and handle contingencies that arise during execution.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Provide technical input to LP and economic modeling.
  • Develop chemical process yields, qualities, and balances for process configurations in the refining and chemical units.
  • Provide insights and recommendations in the financial model output and the ability to guide management to select the best configurations for LTC project cases.
  • Provide technical support for capital projects involving petrochemical units at various stages of the project life cycle (pre-feasibility, feasibility, pre-feed, feed basic design, detailed engineering, and construction).
  • Analyze the market and identifying opportunities for business growth.
  • Conduct research on competitors to identify opportunities for new products or services
  • Develop effective strategies to increase brand awareness in target markets
  • Research new technologies, regulations, and other factors that may affect business models
  • Develop effective project execution strategies, plans, and teams
  • Establish new client relationships and maintaining existing ones in order to generate revenue
  • Deliver the tools, templates, and systems to ensure the safe, passionate, and flawless delivery of the project.
  • Ensure stage deliverables are developed to support estimating.
  • liaison between project management and technical disciplines to achieve integration across all project disciplines.
  • Ensure that the contractor has the appropriate tools and systems for executing the project.
  • Ensure scope, risk, and interfaces are captured; manage interfaces between internal and external parties and document them.
  • Manage scope development and its impact on cost and schedule.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably chemical Engineering.
  • At least 15 years of related experience, with a focus in the Refining and petrochemicals industry.
  • At least two years’ experience in linear programming and economics modeling.
  • Strong experience in chemical derivative process licensor selection and technology analysis.
