Overview

Engineering Services are seeking an experienced Onshore Structural Engineer. Ideal, candidates must have strong technical capabilities and extensive experience in the design of onshore buildings and non-building structures such as Piperack, and foundation of static and dynamic equipment, and provide structural engineering consultations to the company’s operations and new projects during design or construction.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct analysis and design of onshore building and non-building structures using structural analysis software such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, or SAP2000.

Perform design review of engineering packages prepared by contractors in support of ongoing projects to ensure compliance with the Company’s engineering requirements and optimize design.

Develop, maintain, and interpret the company’s engineering standards and specifications related to onshore structures discipline.

Conduct vendor technical assessments for structural steel fabricators and similar commodities.

Conduct site structural condition assessments of existing structures and provide rehabilitation solutions.

Support ongoing Innovation/Technology programs and strategic initiatives.

Assess and adopt new and emerging technologies for civil/structural applications.

Act as a professional mentor to developing structural engineers and specialists.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is required. Master’s Degree is preferred.

Professional Engineering or Chartered Engineering Certification or equivalent.

15+ years of professional engineering experience, preferably in the energy sector.

Familiarity with international codes and standards such as IBC, ACI, AISC or similar.

Proficient in structural engineering analysis and design software and tools.

Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and networking skills.

Understanding and experience in advanced topics such as dynamic analysis, blast resistant design, seismic design.

Abreast of latest technologies, materials and construction methods pertaining to structural engineering.
