Overview
We are seeking an Estimation Engineer to join the Capital Management Division under Projects Coordination Department.
The Capital Management Division is responsible for planning and executing Pipelines, Distribution and Terminals Projects (C1 type).
Your primary role will be assessing the project’s cost, prepare accurate estimates and analysis contractor change orders to ensure completing projects within budget.
Key responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
- Focal point with PMOD (Projects Management Operations Division) estimation team.
- Prepare and develop all level of estimate accuracy (+/-50%, +/-30% and +/-10%) .
- Prepare and develop Engineering work order estimates.
- Endorse all GES+ estimates before submitting to PMOD. Analyze project specifications and scope to determine Engineering, Procurement & Construction Cost.
- Collect actual data from projects for future benchmarking.
- Develop and maintain estimation benchmarking database for projects.
- Support project execution in preparing bid packages.
- Develop or suggest improvement to Saudi Aramco engineering standards, procedures and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of estimate, changes and project cost to support financial reporting.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, material cost and new technologies.
- Provide potential risks and uncertainties that could impact project budget and provide strategies and mitigate them.
Minimum requirements
- You must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized and approved program
- You will have a minimum 10 years of experience as Estimator (in the Downstream Hydrocarbon Facilities)
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in cost estimation tools and MS Excel.
- Proven experience as estimator in construction projects (onshore & offshore)
