Overview
We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting and Consolidation Specialist to join our Financial Reporting Department within the Controller’s Organization at Saudi Aramco.
The Controller’s organization is primarily responsible for financial reporting, income tax and governance matters and is involved in reporting to management and regulators. The Financial Reporting Department performs various activities, including monthly consolidation of results, preparation of management reports, interim and annual financial statements of Saudi Aramco group, interim and annual reports for publishing on the stock exchange and reporting to regulators.
Your primary role is to be responsible for various aspects of the Consolidation and Financial Reporting functions, including supporting the monthly group closing activities, management reporting and analysis, and the preparation of interim and annual consolidated financial
Responsibilities and Duties
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
- Consolidate financial results for Saudi Aramco group companies, including parent, subsidiaries, joint operations, and equity-accounted entities.
- Perform analysis, make recommendations, and prepare responses on consolidation matters.
- Prepare financial statements and perform analysis of financial position and results.
- Provide technical guidance on complex accounting issues, research accounting literature, and recommend solutions to ensure compliance with evolving standards.
- Prepare confidential and technical financial reports and forecasts.
- Coordinate closely with external auditors, supporting audit and review processes for consolidated financial statements.
- Collaborate with subsidiaries and joint ventures to provide financial expertise and ensure consistency in reporting policies.
- Support financial due diligence for Joint Ventures (JVs), Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) integrations, and strategic projects from a financial reporting perspective.
- Prepare confidential management reports, forecasts, and ad hoc financial analysis for senior management.
Minimum Requirements
As the successful candidate you will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A professional certification, such as a CPA, CA, or ACCA is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is necessary in relevant industries. Specific experience in energy related activities, infrastructure, utilities (public and/or private), joint operations and joint ventures and government sector would be preferred.
- Ideally you will have a Big 4 accounting firm experience.
- Experience in consolidation, financial analysis, financial statement preparation, accounting research, mergers and acquisitions and taxation.
- Deep expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) application for complex accounting matters.
- The ability to conduct research on an IFRS topic or financial reporting matter is expected.
- Strong understanding of oil & gas industry accounting policies, joint operations, and joint ventures.
- Leadership skills and the capability to make presentations or lead meetings, including at the executive level.
- Proficiency in both oral and written English is required.
- Proficiency in major ERP and disclosure management systems: SAP BPC, SAP Central Finance & Group Reporting, Oracle Hyperion, Workiva, or similar.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
