Title:  Industry Analyst

Job Req ID:  17761
Description:

Aramco energizes the world economy.

Aramco occupies a special position in the global energy industry. We are one of the world’s largest producers of hydrocarbon energy and chemicals, with among the lowest Upstream carbon intensities of any major producer.

With our significant investment in technology and infrastructure, we strive to maximize the value of the energy we produce for the world along with a commitment to enhance Aramco’s value to society.

Headquartered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and with offices around the world, we combine market discipline with a generations’ spanning view of the future, born of our nine decades experience as responsible stewards of the Kingdom’s vast hydrocarbon resources. This responsibility has driven us to deliver significant societal and economic benefits to not just the Kingdom, but also to a vast number of communities, economies, and countries that rely on the vital and reliable energy that we supply.

We are one of the most profitable companies in the world, as well as amongst the top five global companies by market capitalization.

Overview

The Industry Analyst will monitor and interpret energy-market, geopolitical, policy, technology, and broader business developments. The role will turn internal and external information into concise, decision-ready insight for senior leadership. The role complements, rather than duplicates, existing specialist capabilities. It is not a corporate strategy, communications, media relations, speechwriting, systems, or data-analytics position

Key Responsibilities

  • Read across energy markets, geopolitics, policy, technology, industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging issues.
  • Interpret research and specialist input to identify the material implications, risks, opportunities, proof points, and likely questions for senior leadership.
  • Produce concise market updates, insight notes, thematic briefs, and question-anticipation material for priority topics and engagements.
  • Maintain high-quality research resources and strengthen the usefulness of intelligence products and reporting

What we are looking for:

  • Someone who can sit at the intersection of energy-market expertise, strategic insight and executive communications.
  • Someone who understands the energy industry and markets, follows what's happening externally, and is comfortable with complex information and data.
  • Someone who can step back and ask: what does this actually mean, why does it matter, and what do we need to know?
  • There is an important connector element — we work with strong subject-matter experts across Aramco, including Strategy & Market Analysis.
  • We want this person to help us engage those functions effectively, bring an informed and objective perspective, and connect pieces of information that may not always arrive together.

We would also like this capability to help us look around corners a little more: identifying emerging themes and developments early and considering what they could mean for the Company

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, energy, international relations, public policy, business, communications, or a related discipline.
  • Five to seven years of experience in energy-market intelligence, commodity research, energy economics, geopolitical or policy analysis, industry research, or business advisory.
  • Strong judgment, research, analytical synthesis, and concise English-writing skills, with the ability to distinguish signal from noise.
  • Experience in an energy or commodity intelligence organization, research institution, strategic advisory firm, or in-house energy strategy or market-intelligence team is preferred.
