Oerview

As a recognized company expert in the chemical business, IK Liquids to Chemicals Development is developing the production, shipping and marketing of low carbon hydrogen and ammonia as an alternative route-to-market for our oil and gas resources.  Senior Planning & Performance Management Analyst is responsible to generate analytical findings and recommendations across organizational objectives and deliverables; coordinate planning activities; perform variance analysis; and to proactively identify and provide solutions for problems and issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute and lead finance and performance management analytical activities under the broad guidance of higher-level P&PMD staff and supervisors, particularly in resolving complex, cross-functional, non-routine and/or design issues.
  • Generate analytical findings and recommendations across the scope of objectives and deliverables of the organization, either independently or in collaboration with others.
  • Develop and maintain close partnerships with business/operational counterparts of the P&PMD organization, and represent P&PM in cross-functional, cross-organizational teams involved in P&PMD-related tasks
  • Participate in planning initiatives of his/her organization, maybe assigned to lead and supervise work streams, and be significantly involved in mentoring others on P&PMD practice.
  • Create and maintain a financial model for reporting actual results in combination with the short- to midterm planning process.
  • Management of the monthly adjustments and accruals, in cooperation with the central accounting teams.
  • Manage the planning process in coordination with the business representatives and the commercial analysts.
  • Analyze the monthly results of the product lines, the fixed costs and balance sheet items.
  • Prepare the management reporting for the commercial and business management.
  • Deliver Business reporting, planning and forecasting.
  • Proactively identify and provide solutions for problems and issues.
  • Consolidation of the product line results into the business P&L.
  • Provide financial advice and support to business projects.
  • Map processes of newly implemented structures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline; an advanced business degree (e.g., MBA) and/or relevant professional certification (e.g., CMA, CFA, and CPA) is preferred.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of management accounting, finance and Excel.
  • Ability to articulate complex analysis into simple concepts, and develop effective
  • At least 12 years of related experience, with a demonstrated successful P&PM track record in the Chemicals and/or Refining sectors, along with the ability to use of business intelligence tools to perform:
  • Performance analysis, assessment and reporting
  • Financial (IFRS) reporting
  • Business planning/budgeting
  • Business case preparation
  • Project management
  • Financial modelling
