Overview

We are seeking a Writer/Editor to join the Media Relations Content Unit (MRCU), part of the Media Relations Division in Aramco’s Media Communications & Coordination Department. MRCU is responsible for driving positive earned coverage of Aramco’s activities through the development and issuance of press releases, media advisories, and media statements. It also manages the development of thought leadership projects, bylined articles, and feature stories intended for media distribution.

MRCU works with teams across the company to develop impactful corporate announcements, with the aim of effectively communicating Aramco’s strategy and business milestones to global media. 

 

Your primary role is to draft and edit high-quality English-language content intended for media distribution, including but not limited to press releases, third party press releases and proactive content such as thought leadership projects, bylined articles and feature stories.

Key Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

  • Collaborate with teams across the company to ensure content is endorsed by relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with other Media Relations colleagues to enable effective project delivery.
  • Build positive working relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure project alignment with Aramco’s strategic objectives and Corporate Communications strategy.
  • Operate under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Evaluate project effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct interviews, carry out research, and analyze information to ensure content integrity.
  • Resolve problems and overcome day-to-day challenges as they arise.
  • Adapt to changing needs and priorities, including shifting deadlines and evolving expectations.
  • Manage projects from initiation to completion.
  • Follow internal policies and procedures relevant to their work.

Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate, you will have:

  • Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a relevant field.
  • Candidates should have minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant role (such as Media, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism).
  • Candidates must have excellent English writing and editing skills
