Overview
We are seeking a strategy and research specialist to join our Strategy and Research team.
The Strategy and Research team is responsible for quantifying the effectiveness of cultural offerings and monitoring strategic initiatives. The team provides data-driven insights to refine organizational programming and ensures that initiatives align with overarching strategic goals and desired impact through analysis and performance tracking.
Your primary role is to evolve our success metrics by shifting the focus from simple reach tracking to the quantification of meaningful social and behavioral change. You will be responsible for enhancing comprehensive impact measurement frameworks that provide the insights necessary to optimize cultural offerings and validate the long-term influence of our strategic initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
- Design and execute quantitative and qualitative research projects to evaluate center performance and the visitor experience.
- Develop survey instruments and conduct focus groups and deep-dive interviews to identify trends and opportunities for institutional growth.
- Lead the creation and enhancement of impact measurement tools and key performance indicators to quantify social and cultural returns.
- Align measurement methodologies with the overarching strategic goals of the center.
- Monitor strategic initiatives to ensure milestones are met and identify potential risks to execution.
- Produce reports and dashboards that translate complex data into actionable strategic insights for management.
- Advise offering developers on defining and documenting the intended impact of new cultural offerings.
- Validate impact claims in reports to ensure all conclusions are evidence-based and accurate.
- Assess existing programs to provide optimization feedback that improves overall effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements
- You will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.
- You will have minimum of 10 years’ experience in research, monitoring and evaluation, or strategic consultancy.
- You will have proven skill in research design, specifically in creating effective surveys, interviews, and measurement tools.
- You will be able to demonstrate proficiency in strategic reporting by explaining technical findings in simple, professional terms.
- High attention to detail regarding data collection and report accuracy is a requirement.
- You will be able to demonstrate critical problem-solving skills to identify gaps and suggest data-driven improvements.
