Overview
We are seeking a Supply Chain Category Manager to join our Unconventional Resources Supply Chain (URSC).
This position combines both the Strategic Management Support Specialist and the Business Process Performance Specialist. It is responsible for identifying, developing and leading the improvement of the overall ability of URSC to achieve its end-to-end business goals and objectives by methodically leading the effort to optimize and manage the organization’s performance. It involves evaluating, designing, improving, executing, controlling, monitoring, and measuring business processes. The specialist ensures achievable business process outcomes and associated KPIs are in line with the strategic goals of URSC. This position also involves cross-functional, collaborative business process improvement in most departments that constitute UR. In addition, the position is responsible for anticipating future USRC requirements for data, system/ hardware/technology, manpower, KPIs and process and procedures, and establishing plans to incorporate those future requirements into daily work.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Infuse supply chain and process improvement best practices, suitable process improvement tools, innovation and procedures across URSC business and production areas.to positively and measurably improve its capability to change as the business environment changes.
- Unravel, explain and help to improve or resolve existing or emerging process-related URSC process or strategy challenges.
- Provide strategic vision and thought leadership to drive continuous business process and culture improvement in URSC. Become fully involved in the thinking process of URSC’s business, evaluating relevant processes and developing actions to enhance the URSC business approach.
- Draft a business plan based on input from internal stakeholders, and based on the overall UR-defined strategic objectives.
- Collect and analyze large quantities of URSC–related data, and identify performance gaps measured against established goals.
- React rapidly & proportionally to any sudden change in Saudi Aramco or market conditions to improve URSC business processes.
- Research processes for improvement opportunities, and conduct process-related meetings. Eliminate or reduce defects and waste in URSC business processes, and measurably improve the quality of service delivery. Map, model, or simulate designated URSC processes, and lead the design of new, improved processes
- Establish an organization-wide expectation to achieve and maintain a holistic, high level of business process performance.
- Collaborate with UR staff, the UR Operational Excellence staff, and with designated stakeholders across the supply chain to expose and exploit improvement opportunities, and develop appropriate improvement initiatives to enhance overall supply chain performance and to achieve the stated business goals of the UR organization.
- Develop business-plan accountability reports and prepare a set of goal-oriented improvement initiatives.
- Develop a methodical performance management framework (dimensions, KPIs, targets), then monitor URSC performance based on the performance framework, and collaboratively develop an improvement plan by analyzing systems and processes, based on all identified improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
- Develop end-user Service Level Agreements (SLAs) based on business requirements
- Monitor end user compliance to established process and procedures, then develop initiatives to reduce non-compliance
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering (I&SE), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Project Management, Computer Science, MIS or closely related degrees. MS in I&SE, MBA or graduate-level degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Project Management, Computer Science or Operations Research is desirable.
- Ten (10) years BPM experience in a Supply Chain of an Oil & Gas Operating Company, or service provider.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Proven ability in facilitating business processes and shepherding and motivating other members of staff towards attaining business goals.
- Proven experience in business process simulation & benchmarking.
- Record of accomplishment in facilitating major transformation initiatives, in developing change management techniques in an organization, and in building on the vision of the organization.
- Holds Business Process Management (BPM) certifications: Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Sensei, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt is preferred.
- Additional certifications from APICS, ISM, Change Management, PMP or similar certifications are also a plus.
