Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Unconventional Resources (UR) Producing Department.

The UR Producing Department Operations is responsible to operate all the surface facilities which include the field wells and processing facilities where their role will be to operate the well manifolds, provide field services, maintain the facility and reduce the equipment down time, perform the Preventive Maintenance activities, provide maintenance services in addition of providing all the technical engineering and inspection activities. 

Your primary role is to demonstrate the ability to work with design contractors to review contractor design packages, provide inputs to Front End Engineering Design packages, introduce new technology to enhance company productivity, suggest innovative solutions to optimize equipment performance, and demonstrate safe working practices.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

• Provide day-to-day technical support to Operations and Maintenance Units to troubleshoot and fix electrical systems including reporting and documentation.

• Provide expert advice and assistance to design, construction, maintenance engineers and operation personnel on all matters related to electrical systems.

• Develop engineering conceptual plans for the new installation and upgrade projects including development of work scopes, calculations and detailed technical specifications.

• Review Project Proposals and Detailed Designs packages for new facilities.

• Participate on the testing & commissioning of the new facilities and Turnaround and Inspection (T&I).

• Update and maintain engineering documentation and drawings.

• Analyze system performance and find solution for Energy saving.

• Ensure quality, cost effective and timely solutions to any upgrade.

• Test and pilot new technologies.

• Ensure full Health, Safety, and Environment Compliance.

• Report and analyze key performance indices.

• Make recommendations for technical/economic optimization of existing facilities.

• Lead feasibility/profitability studies for new facilities.

• Contribute to Business Unit strategy.

• Assist in the training, development and mentoring of younger staff.

• Provide analysis, evaluation and interpretation in support of projects, processes, and financing related to Saudi Aramco capital investment decisions.

Minimum Requirements

  • As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university, higher degree is preferred.
  • A Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration will be desirable but is not essential.
  • At least 10 years working experience in Electrical engineering, with minimum 5 years’ experience in the field of Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Must be conversant and have working knowledge of industry codes and standards, such as NFPA, ANSI IEEE, IEC, API, NEC, NACE and others.
  • You must have experience with specifications and data sheets for Electrical equipment like EHV GIS/AIS Switchgear, Power Transformers, large synchronous/induction motors, HV/LV Switchgears and Control gears, EHV/HV/LV Cables, Bus ducts, EHV GIBs, UPS, Battery Charger, NGR, Panel boards.
  • You will have experience in preparation of Single line diagrams, protection and metering schemes, motor schematics, Hazardous area classification drawings, substation automation architecture, synchronizing and bus changeover schemes.
  • You will have experience in electrical engineering calculations like Grounding/Earthing, Battery charger/Battery sizing, Transformer sizing, Cable sizing, Electrical Load schedules, Lighting. Also, knowledge of Electrical Power system studies including Short Circuit, Load Flow analysis, Motor starting, Arc Flash Hazard studies, Relay coordination and setting using software like ETAP etc.
  • You will have experience in conducting failure analysis and provide recommendations for failed electrical equipment
  • You must have experience with electrical equipment field Installation, Commissioning and testing, electrical equipment layouts, plant cable routing layouts, lighting and grounding layouts.
  • You will be able to work in remote areas depending on the project or task assignments.
  • You will have experience in power reliability analysis for electrical distribution systems which involves carrying out power system studies using software like ETAP (Electrical Transient Analyzer Program).
  • You will have a thorough understanding of plant operations, specialized experience in electrical high voltage and low voltage systems for large scale complex electrical distribution system.
